- Booking lead time
- 24–48 hours in advance is preferred. Same-day requests may be available based on driver availability and could carry a surcharge.
- Cancellation
- Cancel by 3:00 PM CST the day before your ride at no charge. Cancellations made after that window are charged a fee equal to the base fee for the trip. Trips booked after 3:00 PM CST the day before, and same-day bookings, are non-refundable. A confirmed trip holds a time slot that's no longer available to other riders — please call to cancel as soon as your plans change.
- No-shows
- If the passenger isn't available within 10 minutes of driver arrival, a no-show fee equal to the base fee for the trip is charged to the card on file.
- Payment timing
- For private-pay clients, the deposit (equal to the base fee) is due before the ride is dispatched. Any post-trip balance (mileage true-up, wait time, extras) is charged to the card on file. Long-distance trips require full payment or a substantial non-refundable deposit upfront. Facility-pay rides are invoiced per trip or weekly (Net-30).
- Card on file
- When you pay the deposit, your card is securely stored on file by our payment processor (Stripe). We use the card on file for post-trip charges (mileage true-up, wait time, additional passengers, no-show or late-cancellation fees) and, for recurring clients, weekly or daily billing. We never store full card numbers on LumityCare systems. You can update or remove your card on file at any time by contacting us.
- Quote validity
- Written quotes are valid for 48 hours. Routes, mileage, and wait time on the day of service are what your final receipt is based on.
- Refunds
- If a ride is cancelled by LumityCare (mechanical issue, weather), you'll receive a full refund within 3 business days.
