Our Process

The LumityCare P.A.T.H. Process

Every ride follows our four-step process — designed to make medical transport feel less like logistics and more like care.

P

Step 01

Plan

The Intake

Book online or by phone. Share pickup details, mobility needs, and appointment time — get a confirmation with driver ETA, route, and a clear quote.

A

Step 02

Arrive

The Pickup

Driver arrives on time, in uniform, with a calm and professional presence — door-to-door assistance from the very first step.

T

Step 03

Transport

The Ride

More than transportation — comfort, dignity, and safety from pickup to appointment, every mile of the way.

H

Step 04

Home

The Return

A safe handoff and a comfortable return — confirming the rider is settled and the family is informed.

Day-of Timeline

What pickup day looks like.

A typical pickup, from your perspective. Five moments, all designed around your comfort.

  1. 5 min before Driver arrives early, parks safely, waits for the scheduled time.
  2. At pickup Knocks, greets you by name, helps with mobility aids and the door.
  3. In transit Climate-controlled, quiet, smooth. As chatty or as quiet as you'd like.
  4. Arrival Walked to the entrance — or further, if you need help finding the right desk.
  5. After your visit Return ride with the same care — settled at home before we leave.
Before Pickup

A quick checklist for first-time riders.

Most rides don't need any prep — but these small things make the day go smoothly.

Insurance card & ID

If your appointment needs them — many clinics do.

Mobility aid

Cane, walker, oxygen, portable wheelchair — we'll stow it safely and have it ready for you at drop-off.

Medication list

Especially helpful at new providers — even a phone photo of the bottles works.

Caregiver contact

A phone number in case we need to reach a family member during the ride.

Layers

Vehicle temperature is set for comfort, but a light jacket helps for cooler appointments.

Your phone, if you have one

So your driver can call or text if there's anything to coordinate.

Your Driver

Trained, vetted, and trusted.

Every LumityCare driver meets the same high bar — because trust isn't something you can shortcut.

Background-checked

Criminal and driving history reviewed before they ever pick up a passenger.

CPR & First Aid certified

Equipped to respond if anything unexpected happens during the ride.

Mobility-assistance trained

Safe transfers, proper aid handling, and the patience to do it right every time.

In uniform, easy to spot

Branded shirt and ID, in a clearly marked LumityCare vehicle — no confusion at pickup.

Real Rides

What other riders use us for.

Not sure if your situation fits? Chances are it does — here are three common ones.

Weekly dialysis

"Mom needs to get to her dialysis center three times a week."

We set up a standing 7 AM pickup, Mon/Wed/Fri. Same driver when possible. After her four-hour session, we're there to take her home — calm, quiet, no waiting in a lobby for a ride.

Outpatient procedure

"He's having cataract surgery and can't drive himself home."

A round-trip ride. We drop him at the surgery center, wait nearby (or come back at the scheduled time), and bring him home with extra care for light sensitivity and tenderness.

Specialist visit

"I have a one-time cardiology follow-up across town."

A single round-trip. We help find the right entrance, walk you in if you'd like, and schedule the return so you're not stuck waiting after a long appointment.
